Electrical Engineer Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team.
This role is focused on developing and designing power components for compressors in industrial and metallurgical applications. You will work on the development of electrical hardware, power components, and frequency converters. Your collaboration with other departments and customers will be key in clarifying technical aspects and designing solutions.
* Develop and design power components for compressors in industrial and metallurgical applications including coke oven gas, direct iron reduction, wastewater, flue gas, exhaust gas recirculation, mechanical vapor recompression.
* Support ongoing development of electrical hardware, power components, and frequency converters.
* Collaborate with Automation, Project, and Sales Departments and customers on technical clarification and solution design.
* Participate in research and development for current and new products.
* Perform testing, maintenance, documentation, and bug fixes.
* Conduct troubleshooting and commissioning at client sites (10–20% travel).
* Support interdisciplinary projects for current and new products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
* Experience in power electronics and frequency converters preferred.
* Hands-on experience with hardware and software.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficiency in written and spoken English for collaborating with international colleagues; German language skills are an asset.
* Willingness to travel internationally.
