We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Back Office Automation Expert who thrives at the intersection of commodity trading operations, data automation, and digital tooling. If you love turning manual processes into seamless flows, enjoy digging into the logic behind financial and physical commodity movements, and don’t mind supporting traders during occasional evening hours — this role is for you. You’ll join a dynamic Back Office & Operations team that keeps our trading business running smoothly. Your mission: streamline processes, boost efficiency, and bring next-level transparency to our operations through smart automation and data insights. What You’ll Do Automate Back Office workflows using Power Automate, low-code solutions, APIs, and scripting Build dashboards and analytics in Power BI to bring clarity to operational and P&L-relevant data Design and maintain data transformations using SQL, Python, and JSON Support our traders in day-to-day operations — including evening coverage on rotation Work closely with Front Office, the CFRO departments and IT to ensure financial and physical commodity flows align Identify inefficiencies and proactively transform them into robust, transparent, digital processes Troubleshoot operational issues end-to-end with a “get-things-done” mindset What You Bring University degree in Business Administration (focus on digital & data driven BA is benefical) Minimum of five years of experience in a commodity trading Back Office or similar operational environment Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Power Platform, or similar automation tools Solid skills in Power BI dashboard development Good working knowledge of SQL and/or Python as well as experience in JSON Curiosity for how financial and physical commodity chains connect — and the willingness to learn fast A proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset Flexibility to support evening trading operations (rotation-based) Why You’ll Love Working With Us A modern, forward-looking trading environment where your ideas matter The freedom to automate, optimize, and reinvent processes end-to-end A collaborative team that values innovation, ownership, and personal growth The chance to directly influence trading efficiency and business performance Are you brave enough to drive progress and forge new paths?
