Your tasks and responsibilities Simulation / Modeling of the laser peening forming process for shaping aluminum alloys sheets Simulate and model the laser peening forming process for shaping aluminum alloy sheets. Preliminarily validate the simulation model using already available small-scale test results. Define further tests to validate the developed model. Develop preliminary concepts for machine learning/algorithms for the automated programming of the peening strategy. Desired skills and qualifications Enrolled full-time master student (d/f/m) in the area of aeronautical/mechanical engineering or an equivalent field of study. First practical experience with Python and Matlab is desirable. First practical experience with Finite Element analysis is desirable. Fluent in English, German is a plus.
