Speech Therapist in Acute Geriatrics
We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team in the Acute Geriatrics department. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, as well as providing treatment and support to patients with swallowing disorders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Job Description:
* Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic assessments of geriatric patients in the Acute Geriatrics department, Tagesklinik, and mobile rehabilitation
* Perform clinical swallow examinations, including adaptation of food forms
* Assist in endoscopic dysphagia diagnostics (FEES) or conduct independently with appropriate qualifications
* Provide guidance and support to patients and their families in managing swallowing difficulties
* Collaborate interdisciplinarily and participate in team meetings
* Documented patient intake, therapy progress, and discharge reports
* Requirements:
* Completed training as a Logopädin/Logopäde or equivalent qualification in speech therapy
* Empathy and enjoyment in working with geriatric patients
* Teamwork, responsibility, and reliability
* Willingness to collaborate interdisciplinarily
* Candidates with prior experience or re-entry welcome
