As soon as possible. The position is a full-time (100%) fixed-term position for a duration of 3 years. The teaching load is 4 hours per week.
Your tasks:
* independent conduct of a research project on one of the professorship’s main research areas (Synoptic Question/Marcion; recent history of New Testament exegesis, including contemporary political discourses; early reception and canon history of the New Testament, with special focus on the Catholic Epistles)
* independent conduct of courses and examinations
* preparation of competitive grant proposals
* internationalization of teaching
* participation in the academic self-governance of the faculty and university
Our expectations:
* a successfully completed degree in theology from a university or comparable institution of higher education, excluding a bachelor’s degree
* an excellent doctoral degree in the field of the New Testament studies
* above-average exegetical skills (including Koine Greek)
* proficiency in spoken and written English
* a strong willingness to engage in international and interdisciplinary collaboration
* relevant professional experience in university teaching (preferred)
* strong communication and teamwork skills
