The Associate Director, US Oncology Marketing—GI Cancer HCP Strategy & Execution Lead is a high‑visibility, high‑impact commercial leader responsible for shaping and executing growth‑driving initiatives across the GI cancers portfolio. This role refines and accelerates the marketing strategy to capture new opportunities in an intensely competitive and rapidly evolving treatment landscape.
Responsibilities
Own and refine the HCP GI strategy (upper and lower) across customer segments to maximize commercial performance of the GI portfolio and align field and non‑field tactics to drive business priorities.
Translate customer segmentation insights into targeted personal and non‑personal promotional plans that positively impact the business.
Lead cross‑functional workstreams to monitor business performance, diagnose growth opportunities, and execute data‑driven plans in partnership with digital analytics, competitive intelligence, and market research.
Serve as a decisive project lead: define clear goals and success metrics, prioritize initiatives, manage complex timelines and resources, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and elevate issues to preserve momentum and deliverables.
Direct the end‑to‑end development and execution of HCP promotional materials—including digital channels and omnichannel tactics—ensuring scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and commercial effectiveness.
Establish and report on clear KPIs to measure promotional effectiveness, market share movement, and commercial ROI; iterate plans based on results and changing market dynamics.
Manage and hold the team accountable for timely delivery, creative excellence, budget discipline, and measurable impact.
Collaborate closely with market access team to identify payer trends, translating those insights into tactical adjustments and strategic recommendations for the GI Cancers business.
Partner with Global Marketing, Precision Medicine, DHH, Finance, Forecasting and other stakeholders to monitor the evolving treatment landscape, inform scenario planning, and support counter‑competitive strategy development when appropriate.
Lead GI scientific strategy and embed scientific insights into HCP strategy, congress assets, and training; coordinate with Medical Affairs, CI, and Publications to translate post‑congress insights for commercial execution.
Manage the GI Cancers and Melanoma budget.
Required Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
Minimum of 3 years of brand marketing experience.
Proven self‑starter with a hands‑on, results‑driven approach.
High emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership: adept at leading cross‑functional teams, mentoring colleagues, and adapting style—knowing when to lead, coach, or support to maximize team performance.
Strong program and project management capability; track record of managing multiple concurrent initiatives, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and consistently delivering high‑quality results.
Strategic thinker with operational discipline; translate long‑term strategy into executable plans while maintaining rigorous attention to detail and measurable KPIs.
Comfortable operating in high‑visibility environments; performs effectively under pressure, embraces stretch assignments, and navigates changing priorities with resilience.
Exceptional communicator and active listener: persuasive presenter with polished written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, from field teams to senior leadership.
Rapid learner who simplifies complexity: quickly assimilates technical or scientific information and delivers clear, actionable messages.
Strong analytical orientation: uses data and market insights to drive decisions; demonstrated success competing in high‑intensity pharmaceutical/biotech markets.
Influential collaborator and negotiator: builds strong internal and external relationships, navigates stakeholder dynamics, and secures alignment and commitment across functions.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Advanced degree (Masters Business Administration/MBA).
Previous experience as an HCP marketing lead or scientific strategy lead or Product Owner.
Oncology experience.
US Market experience in Marketing/Commercial roles.
Developing brand strategy and implementation.
Agile frameworks expertise.
Location: Upper Gwynedd, PA (hybrid) or Remote.
Travel: 10%.
Shift: 1st – Day.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $156,900.00 - $247,000.00. Successful candidates will be eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
