Why we need this role
The customer trust and security specialist is responsible for building and maintaining customer confidence in the organization’s security posture by acting as a trusted advisor. This role ensures a deep understanding of local customer requirements, supports the creation and maintenance of accurate security documentation aligned to the organizational measures, and manages relationships with partners to ensure compliance. The position also serves as a key coordinator between internal teams - including Security, Compliance, Legal, and Sales—to deliver timely, consistent, and compliant responses to customer inquiries, audits, and contractual obligations. By aligning global security standards with local expectations, the role strengthens trust and drives customer satisfaction.
What you will do
Customer Engagement & Trust Building
1. Serve as the trusted security advisor for customers and internal teams, addressing inquiries related to cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance.
2. Lead customer security reviews, audits, and due diligence processes.
3. Create, maintain and update customer-facing documentation (e.g., security concepts, incident response plan etc)
Security Assurance & Compliance
4. Support compliance initiatives across frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, PCI DSS, C5 and GDPR.
5. Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Risk, Engineering) to ensure contractual security clauses are aligned with company standards.
6. Advise on security architecture and measures for customer solutions (cloud security, encryption, access control, monitoring and resilience)
7. Respond to security questionnaires and RFPs with accurate, timely information.
8. Integrate BC and resilience requirements into project design and onboarding
Risk Management & Governance
9. Partner with Security teams to monitor and report on security posture.
10. Contribute to vulnerability management and incident response communications for customers.
11. Ensure partner coordination and compliance
Enablement & Training
12. Deliver internal and external enablement programs to improve handling of security concerns.
13. Educate sales and customer success teams on security messaging and compliance requirements.
What we're looking for
Technical Expertise
14. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks and security regulations (BSI Grundschutz, NIS2, DORA; ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
15. Familiarity with security governance and assurance processes
16. Knowledge on business continuity and resilience requirements
Customer-Facing Skills
17. Excellent communication and presentation skills for translating technical concepts into business language.
18. Proven experience managing customer audits, security questionnaires, and trust-building initiatives.
Soft Skills
19. Problem-solving and critical thinking under pressure.
20. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
Experience
21. At least 3 years in information security, GRC, or compliance roles with customer-facing responsibilities.
22. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are a plus.

23. Monthly reporting to customers as required and contractually agreed
