Overview

As the Head of Sales & Business Development for Germany, you'll be a key leader at PaulCamper, responsible for shaping and executing our growth strategy in our core market. You will drive sales, expand our owner and renter community, and build strategic partnerships to solidify our position as the leading RV marketplace. This is a critical role that requires a blend of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and inspirational leadership. You'll report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and be based in our Berlin headquarters.


Experience

* 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a commercial leadership role, ideally within a marketplace, e-commerce, or mobility tech company.
* 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team with a focus on performance and development.
* Proven track record of building and scaling a business or market.


Skills

* Strong Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the German market, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape.
* Exceptional Communication: Fluency in both German and English is required. You must be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from our RV owners to the executive team.
* Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to use data to make informed decisions and a knack for identifying long-term growth opportunities.
* Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive, hands-on approach with a bias for action and a high degree of ownership.
* Passion for the RV Lifestyle: A genuine interest in the camping and outdoor travel sector is a significant plus.


Job Responsibilities

* Strategic Leadership & Market Growth: Develop and execute the strategy for the German market, creating and implementing a comprehensive business development plan to accelerate growth, identify new revenue streams and market opportunities.
* Own Business Performance: Take full ownership of German market KPIs, including gross bookings, fleet growth, renter acquisition, and revenue targets. Analyze performance data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with global product, marketing, operations, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy.
* Sales & Business Development: Drive owner and renter acquisition, onboarding new RV owners and attracting more renters to the platform to maintain a healthy marketplace balance.
* Build Strategic Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and secure partnerships with tourism boards, camping associations, RV manufacturers, and other relevant players to expand reach.
* Inspire a High-Performance Mindset: Mentor and collaborate with a small, agile team in a cross-functional environment, fostering accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity.
* People Leadership: Recruit, develop, and coach the team to support professional growth; lead by example to foster a positive, results-driven culture.
