Main Duties & Responsibilities
Role Overview & Purpose
The Finance Manager plays a key role in ensuring financial integrity, transparency, and performance of the organization within a manufacturing environment. The position is responsible for statutory accounting, controlling, and financial reporting in compliance with German GAAP (HGB), US GAAP, and SOX requirements, while actively supporting business decision-making across the value chain.
Acting as a trusted business partner to local stakeholders and the EMEA Finance organization, the Finance Manager enables cost control, risk mitigation, and sustainable financial performance, ensuring that finance processes effectively support operational excellence and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and US GAAP, ensuring SOX compliance
2. Take full responsibility for the General Ledger and VAT accounting
3. Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and financial performance reports
4. Manage and coordinate all controlling activities across the full manufacturing value chain
5. Support the EMEA Financial Controller in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and management reports
6. Act as a financial liaison between Finance and local departments ( Purchasing, Sales, Operations)
7. Identify cost reduction opportunities, financial risks, and inefficiencies; proactively propose mitigation actions
8. Ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of financial data and reporting
Remote Work

Qualifications
Must-have Requirements
9. Completed commercial apprenticeship and/or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
10. Several years of professional experience in Finance, including:
11. Preparation of annual financial statements under German GAAP (HGB)
12. Controlling responsibilities in a business or manufacturing environment
13. Fluent English (written and spoken)
14. Proven experience in a producing / manufacturing company
Nice-to-have Qualifications
15. Prior experience with US GAAP and SOX requirements
16. Exposure to international or matrix organizations
