Job Description:
We are seeking an Operations Officer to join our team. As an Operations Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all money market transactions across various teams, including booking of multi-currency loans and time deposits, as well as dual currency deposits.
This role requires close collaboration with departments such as Market coverage, Operations, Cash Management, Treasury, Lending, Risk Management and Compliance.
You will be responsible for calculation of yields and margins, completion of necessary checks related to money market transactions, obtaining approvals, and storing orders in the banking system.
In addition, you will be executing international transfers, including payments in various currencies, security transfers, FX trades, and security trades.
Daily Tasks and Services:
* Capture security trades.
* Capture FX trades and DCDs.
* Capture corporate actions/AIFs.
* Process payments and money transfers.
* Book time deposits.
* Book loans.
* Execute security transfers.
* Respond to inquiries and provide front office support.
* Contribute to projects as a subject matter expert (e.g., simplification and automation of processes).
* Test new releases of the IT banking platform Avaloq.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Structured and organized working style.
* High resilience in peak times with increased workload and cut-off times.
* Strong proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, reporting).
* Knowledge of payments (SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022).
* Experience with testing/UAT and ctB initiatives.
* Familiarity with Avaloq.
* Meticulous, high-quality work.
* Autonomous, proactive, motivated, and committee-driven individual.
* Ability to adapt to new situations, acquire knowledge, and put it into practice.
* Exemplary conduct and strong communication skills.
* Languages: English mandatory; German and/or French are additional assets.
