Your future area of responsibility: Supporting the IT workshop

Department 14 is responsible for the technical equipment and IT operations of the entire Cologne district government. The field of activity of the IT workshop includes hardware support in all areas, support for data transmission networks and activities in the IT service office. Your work will enable all employees of the building to carry out their work for the administrative district and its population.

You will be based in Cologne and can work at the main location of the Cologne district government in Zeughausstraße or the second location in Scheidtweiler Straße.

Your tasks:

In Department 14, you will support the IT workshop with a wide range of tasks:

* Setting up and operating hardware
* Problem solving in hardware support
* Replacement of consumables and their management
* Support of the data transmission networks
* Collaboration in the IT service office
What you need to bring with you: The requirements profile

Professional:

* a completed, relevant training in the field of ITC according to the DQR4, e.g. IT specialist:in the fields of digital networking or system integration or IT system electronics technician:in
* one at least one year of professional experience in one of the above-mentioned occupational fields after completion of training
* Ideally, you have basic knowledge of network and PC technology
* Confident use of MS Office applications is desirable.

Personal:

* Very good knowledge of written and spoken German
* Good knowledge of the English language
* A class B driving license
* You have an interest in new applications, software solutions and technologies
* You are friendly and customer-oriented, able to work under pressure, a team player and communicative
* You have a high sense of responsibility, a high level of commitment and are characterized by an independent way of working
