From innovative digital solutions for legal and compliance challenges to providing research based high quality legal advice. We build collaborative, strategic and meaningful partnerships with our clients. Job Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Engineer to join our international and cross-functional team. The role bridges legal expertise with a strong interest in technology and product development, enabling us to translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable, client-ready solutions. You will work closely with our lawyers, Innovation Lab, development team, and clients to ensure that legal complexity is transformed into clear, reliable, and effective prompt frameworks and technical processes. With this position, we aim to strengthen the backbone of our AI-powered tools, ensuring that they are not only legally sound and technically robust, but also intuitive and impactful for our clients. You will take responsibility for designing, testing, and refining prompt frameworks for our AI-powered tools, directly shaping the quality, consistency, and scalability of our solutions, and helping us push the boundaries of how law and technology work together. We embrace a flexible hybrid model, typically in-office 3–4 days per week. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and interpret legal and regulatory requirements across multiple areas of asset management (e.g., marketing material rules, cross-border distribution, product documentation, investor disclosures, and reporting). Draft, refine, and maintain structured prompts and logic that capture these regulatory requirements and can be implemented in automation tools. Serve as a legal bridge between subject matter experts, development teams, and clients, ensuring complex regulations are translated into clear, actionable product features. Demonstrate a strong willingness and ability to quickly familiarise with new legal domains and jurisdictions, working closely with senior lawyers and experts to validate approaches. Engage directly with clients to explain the legal rationale of automated features, respond to feedback, and ensure practical usability of outputs. Collaborate with the Innovation Lab and Product Management to design, test, and roll out new automation modules across jurisdictions and regulatory topics. Maintain clear documentation of regulatory sources, implementation decisions, and client-facing explanations to ensure transparency and consistency. Contribute to the strategic roadmap by identifying opportunities for automation in emerging regulatory areas relevant to asset managers. Qualifications / what we expect: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in asset management (e.g., UCITS, PRIIPs, AIFMD, MiFID II, SEC and FINRA marketing rules, UAE Investment Funds Regulations, UK COBS, Hong Kong Securities and Futures Ordinance, etc.), combined with the ability and willingness to quickly familiarise oneself with new regulations. Ability to translate legal requirements into practical solutions. Demonstrated interest or experience in legal technology, AI, or automation projects. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a structured and pragmatic mindset. Strong client communication skills and ability to explain complex legal topics in clear, client-friendly language and to translate technical tool outputs into actionable insights. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain legal requirements to technical colleagues and technical solutions to legal experts. Experience in prompt design, legal engineering, or product management is a plus. Curiosity, creativity, and motivation to drive innovation in regulatory compliance. What We Offer: Competitive compensation. Genuine responsibility. Direct client contact and industry connections. Impact on the development of the firm. The opportunity to work at the interface of law and technology. Camaraderie with a multi-national team.
