Als Praktikant im Network Engineering unterstützt du unser Team dabei, drahtlose Kommunikationssysteme mit niedriger Latenz und hoher Verfügbarkeit zu entwickeln. Die Grundlage für sichere Teleoperation unserer Fahrzeuge. Gemeinsam mit erfahrenen Kollegen arbeitest du an der Integration unserer Remote-Gabelstapler in industrielle Netzwerke und trägst dazu bei, unsere Mission für effiziente, sichere Logistik zu verwirklichen.

Deine Aufgaben
7. Mitarbeit an der Netzwerkinfrastruktur: Du wirkst bei der Konzeption, dem Aufbau und der Wartung unserer Netzwerkinfrastruktur in industriellen Umgebungen mit (WLAN, Switches, Router, Firewalls, VPN)
8. Analyse und Optimierung: Du unterstützt bei der Analyse der Netzwerk-Performance und -Verfügbarkeit, um eine zuverlässige Datenübertragung zu gewährleisten
9. Fehlerdiagnose und -behebung: Du bist an der systematischen Fehlerdiagnose beteiligt und hilfst unter Anleitung bei der Behebung von Netzwerkproblemen
10. Planung von Netzwerk-Rollouts: Du begleitest die Planung von Netzwerk-Rollouts bei Kunden und unterstützt das Team bei der Vorbereitung und Umsetzung
11. Technische Dokumentation: Du übernimmst die Erstellung und Pflege von technischer Dokumentation und Netzwerkplänen nach unseren Standards
12. Evaluierung neuer Technologien: Du recherchierst und bewertest neue Ansätze und Technologien im Bereich Netzwerktechnik und bereitest Entscheidungsgrundlagen vor
Dein Profil
13. Du bist eingeschriebener Student in Informatik, Elektrotechnik, IT-Sicherheit oder einem vergleichbaren Studiengang
14. Du hast Interesse an Netzwerktechnologien und industrieller Kommunikation (z. B. WLAN, 5G)
15. Erste Erfahrungen durch Praktika, Projekte oder Studium im Bereich Netzwerk oder IT sind von Vorteil, aber kein Muss
16. Du arbeitest gerne im Team, bist neugierig und bringst eigene Ideen ein
17. Du hast eine sorgfältige, strukturierte Arbeitsweise und scheust dich nicht vor neuen Herausforderungen
18. Gute Deutsch (C1) - und Englischkenntnisse (B1) runden dein Profil ab

As a Network Engineering intern, you’ll support our team in developing low-latency, high-availability wireless communication systems. This technology forms the backbone of secure teleoperation for our vehicles. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll help integrate our remote-controlled forklifts into industrial networks and play a key role in delivering our mission of efficient, safe logistics.

Your tasks
25. Collaborate on network infrastructure: You’ll be involved in designing, building, and maintaining our network infrastructure in industrial environments—including WLAN, switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
26. Analyze and optimize: You’ll help analyze network performance and availability to ensure reliable data transmission
27. Troubleshooting and issue resolution: You’ll contribute to systematic troubleshooting and assist, under guidance, in resolving network issues
28. Support network rollouts: You’ll participate in planning customer network rollouts and help the team prepare and execute them
29. Technical documentation: You’ll create and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams according to our standards
30. Evaluate new technologies: You’ll research and assess new concepts and technologies in networking, providing recommendations for management decisions
Your profile
31. You’re currently enrolled in computer science, electrical engineering, IT security, or a related field
32. You’re interested in network technologies and industrial communication (such as WLAN or 5G)
33. Previous experience via internships, projects, or coursework in networking or IT is a plus but not required
34. You enjoy working in a team, are curious, and like to contribute your own ideas
35. You work carefully and systematically, and you’re not afraid to tackle new challenges
36. Strong German skills (C1 level) and English proficiency (B1 level) complete your profile

You will work in a growing team with direct responsibility, short distances and a test hall right next to the office in Karlsruhe. Here, we not only design, but also implement, test and develop directly.
