Our research focuses on iron metabolism and its disturbances in human disease. The major aim of the advertised project is to understand the role of iron in innate immune cells in the tumor microenvironment.
We have recently shown that the instillation of iron nanoparticles into the lung delays tumor growth.

A suitable candidate will have a proven track record of research accomplishments including first author publications in international peer-reviewed journals. To successfully engage in this study experience with murine disease models (including FELASA licence) is an absolute requirement.
