Research Scientist (m/f/d) in Electrochemistry, Physics or Chemistry

Our challenges:
Scouting of breakthroughs in research and early development in the domain of energy technologies and systems
Quantitative evaluation of future energy technologies for aviation and their ultimate potentials, from component to device to integrated system level, including technical, ecological and techno-economic performance
Life-cycle analysis (LCA) based on process and system modelling of electrical energy systems (e.g. batteries, fuel cell systems) and green hydrogen
Holistic comparative evaluation of technologies and transition pathways to 100% renewable energy in aviation
Communication of research results through journal publications, conferences and media channels
We need you because:
You have successfully completed your Master ́s degree in either Electrochemistry, Physics or Chemistry and want to pursue a PhD
You bring scientific creativity in combination with strong quantitative analytical skills and programming expertise to our team
You have a strong interest in batteries, high-temperature fuel cells and their thermal management systems, hydrogen systems, and life-cycle and/or cost analysis
You are familiar with sustainability aspects of renewable energy technologies and you have proven that you can work your way into new topics
You enjoy future technology analysis of electrochemical technologies at different complexity levels
You are passionate about giving scientific answers to introducing renewable energy and fuels in aviation
You are interested in multidisciplinary, target-oriented tasks within joint academic or industry projects
You are proficient in German or English
