The client is looking for a Junior Field Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to become an expert in the vertical sensor product line while bridging the gap between technical excellence and customer success.
Your Role:
As a Junior Field Application Engineer, you will serve as the technical and customer-facing expert for the sensor product line. You will work closely with customers, sales teams, and internal R&D to provide technical support, drive product adoption, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about semiconductor technologies, eager to learn, and excited to combine technical depth with commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to customers in Europe, assisting with sensor selection, application design, and troubleshooting.
* Collaborate with R&D and product teams to gather customer feedback and contribute to product improvements.
* Develop application notes, reference designs, and technical documentation to empower customers in using our sensor products effectively.
* Conduct technical presentations, training sessions, and workshops for customers and internal teams.
* Support sales teams in pre- and post-sales activities, including product demonstrations and proof-of-concept development.
* Participate in a comprehensive training program, including a 6-month on-site training at our headquarters in China to deepen your expertise in our sensor technologies.
* Build strong relationships with key customers and act as a trusted advisor for their sensor-related challenges.
Your Profile:
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience:
* Fresh graduates with a strong academic background in semiconductor technologies and relevant practical internships are welcome to apply.
* 1-3 years of experience in IC design, IC application, PCB design, layout, or sensor technologies is a plus.
Technical Skills:
* Hands-on experience with semiconductor technologies, ideally in sensors (e.g., optical, motion, environmental, or image sensors).
* Familiarity with IC layout, PCB design, or application engineering is highly desirable.
* Basic understanding of embedded systems, analog/digital circuits, or signal processing is advantageous.
Languages:
* Fluent in English (mandatory).
* German (business level) is a strong asset for customer interactions in the DACH region.
* Mandarin (preferred) and Chinese nationality are a plus, as you will collaborate closely with our HQ in China.
* Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
* Customer-oriented with a passion for building long-term relationships.
* Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, international environment.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
