As an expert in one or more Retail domain areas, you will be responsible for managing and leading client projects on behalf of Infosys Consulting. Your role involves analyzing various problems in the Retail domain, defining vision and strategy, proposing solutions, and collaborating with the technology organization to realize use cases.
Responsibilities :
1. Lead or participate in engagements to define vision and strategy for Retail clients, including sectors such as food & grocery, fashion, home and furnishing, quick service formats, and franchise operations. The work spans across the value chain, including Omni-Channel, Store Back-office Operations, Supply Chain, Buying & Merchandising, PLM, Assortment Planning, Demand & Supply Planning, Pricing & Promotions, CRM & Loyalty, Store Location Planning, and Retail Analytics.
2. Work closely with clients to understand their strategy and vision, and define process blueprints or detailed requirements for subsequent technology realization.
3. Scan retail operations to identify key personas, challenges, and bottlenecks; define process blueprints, finalize TO-BE capabilities, and develop a technology roadmap to address challenges and scale operations.
4. Research and benchmark retail operations to suggest innovations and best practices that help retail brands stay competitive.
5. Leverage optimization techniques such as analytics, AI/ML, and scenario planning to improve retail operations, measure KPIs, and deliver value.
6. Analyze process areas to identify problems, partner with Infosys's technology teams to ideate, and drive go-to-market strategies to win consulting deals.
Work Experience : 3 - 12 years
Educational Requirements : Master of Business Administration or Bachelor of Engineering
Additional Responsibilities :
* Excellent communication skills and ability to present to stakeholders at various levels, both in person and remotely.
* Leadership skills are a plus.
* Knowledge of IT solutions, an solutions-oriented approach, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Knowledge of retail enterprise platforms such as ERP (Oracle, SAP), POS systems, OMS platforms (Sterling Commerce, Hybris), and merchandising & financial planning tools is advantageous.
Technical and Professional Requirements :
* MBA from Tier 1 or Tier 2 B-school with at least 5+ years of retail industry experience or a Bachelor of Engineering from top universities with at least 7 years of retail operations experience.
* Experience in retail consulting or business functions, including Brick & Mortar, Omnichannel, or e-commerce.
* Certification in Retail Operations, POS, store back-office systems, ERP, Buying & Merchandising, or Store Management is a plus.
* Ability to work with complex stakeholder setups including Business Leads, SMEs, IT teams, Testing, Architects, and Market Teams.
* Knowledge of optimization techniques, AI/ML, automation, or advanced analytics is a plus.
