The work
Youll be designing and leading mechanical systems including cooling architectures, HVAC, chilled water, and resilience strategies for hyperscale and colocation data centres across Germany and Europe. From early concept through to commissioning, this is technically interesting, client-facing work on infrastructure that genuinely matters. If you like staying close to the technical detail as you progress, this is the place to be.
At Principal level, youll own the mechanical scope on complex projects, mentor engineers, and act as a trusted technical advisor to major global clients.
At Associate Director level, youll set the mechanical strategy across multiple projects, lead senior design reviews, shape business development, and build the capability of the team around you.
What youll bring
Extensive mechanical building services experience in mission-critical environments — data centres, healthcare or high-tech manufacturing. Strong fundamentals across thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and energy modelling. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, IES VE or CFD tools. Proven ability to lead projects and people in a design consultancy setting. Chartered status (CIBSE, IMechE or equivalent) preferred.
The role is based in Frankfurt, Germany but we are open to applicants relocating from across the EU. Business level English is required, and German language skills are an advantage.
