The target position for this job is within the structural component manufacturing facility in Münchsmünster, where innovative and state-of-the-art production methods are used to create aluminum die-cast components for lightweight construction. These components combine low weight with strength and the highest precision. Important components for models of the Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche brands are produced here with high economic efficiency. Highly efficient aluminum die-casting systems operate around the clock to manufacture aluminum structural components. All components are significantly lighter than conventionally welded steel sheet parts, saving 30% in weight.
In 2025, more than 600,000 components are expected to be produced. In addition to manufacturing aluminum structural components using the die-casting process, other procedures are applied, such as heat treatment to modify material properties, mechanical processing of structural components, and surface treatment for subsequent joining processes.

Within the component manufacturing facility, we are responsible for
* Product and process technology of structural components in series production, including testing, validation, and implementation of casting-specific optimizations while considering quality and cost-effectiveness requirements. This is carried out in collaboration with technical development, quality assurance, and production planning.
* Support for production planning in new projects, with a focus on: Ensuring manufacturability, developing robust operating resources and processes, functional and process-related alignment and adjustment of quality requirements in simultaneous engineering (SE) and ensuring cost-effective manufacturing processes
* Technology scouting and implementation of new technologies and tool concepts, such as jet cooling or micro spraying, in collaboration with production planning
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
The Audi Global Graduate Program targets recent graduates entering into the workforce. Within the first 18 months as a program participant, you will build an interdisciplinary network, take advantage of a wide range of opportunities for skills development and benefit from comprehensive mentoring.
* University degree from an accredited university in Foundry Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or similar with an above-average academic performance
* International experience through internships and / or studies abroad
* Initial work experience of a maximum of two years in the target area
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues across the Group company
* A proactive, driven attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* A desire to learn and develop, with a willingness to change perspectives, adapt to new environments, dare to changes
* Fluent in English and at least German B2
