Global Head of Real Estate Asset & Property Management (m/w/d)
Schaeffler is a dynamic global technology company. The role involves leading the global Real Estate Asset & Property Management team to ensure smooth, cost-efficient, and compliant real estate operations worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Functional and disciplinary leadership of the global Real Estate Asset & Property Management team, responsible for smooth, cost-efficient, and compliant real estate operations worldwide
* Operational budget control and cost management in global real estate operations (commercial & technical facility management)
* Development of global asset strategies to sustainably enhance the value of the worldwide real estate portfolio
* Definition and continuous development of global standards, KPIs, and processes for the technical and commercial operation of properties
* Close collaboration with CREM divisions (Construction, Workplace, Mobility & Catering, etc.) to ensure seamless project handover into operations and integrated service concepts
* Ensuring worldwide compliance with regulatory, quality, and internal company requirements – especially ESG, compliance, and risk management
* Development and monitoring of KPIs, benchmarks, and reporting structures
* Implementation of digital tools in collaboration with the Real Estate Digitalization & Processes division
* Operational management of all service providers in property and facility management via the regional organization
* Strategic development of the “Total Operations Model” (global make-or-buy strategy) and its implementation in property and facility management
Qualifications
* Completed degree in real estate management, facility management, business administration, or comparable field
* At least 10 years of professional experience in international real estate management, preferably asset & property management, ideally in corporate structures
* Proven leadership experience in global, matrix-organized teams
* In-depth knowledge of managing complex service and operations models as well as developing global standards and KPIs
* Experience in strategic procurement and contract management at an international level
* Knowledge of Real Estate Management systems such as Planon, Speedikon, etc. is an advantage
* Business fluent German and English, both written and spoken
* Willingness to travel (20%)
