Overview
On behalf of a international financial group, we are seeking a Director-level Lending & Liquidity Expert to join the Private Wealth Management division in Frankfurt. The firm manages over €100 billion in client assets and employs more than 2,000 professionals across Europe, providing integrated private banking, asset management, and corporate advisory services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
The PWM platform delivers tailored credit and liquidity solutions, including structured lending, Lombard and mortgage financing, corporate and fund-backed credit, and cross-border liquidity management for entrepreneurs, family offices, and institutional clients in Germany, France, and Switzerland.
This position will play a strategic role in expanding the group’s lending franchise, working directly with the Group Head of Lending & Liquidity and senior management to develop product capabilities, deepen client relationships, and enhance governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Originate and structure bespoke credit solutions for UHNWI and family office clients (Lombard, real estate, fund financing, structured credit)
* Drive profitability and risk-adjusted returns across the European lending book
* Partner with relationship managers to design tailored credit strategies for complex client portfolios
* Oversee credit analysis, collateral valuation, and approval processes for high-value transactions
* Strengthen liquidity management frameworks and integration with group treasury
* Collaborate with Frankfurt, Paris, and Zurich teams on cross-border client needs
* Support process digitalisation and automation initiatives
* Represent the lending function in internal committees and regulatory discussions (BaFin, ECB)
Candidate Profile
* 10 years of experience in private banking, structured lending, or credit risk at a leading European or global institution
* Strong expertise in collateralised lending, real asset-backed financing, and fund or share-backed credit
* Proven ability to structure bespoke UHNW credit transactions in the €5–20 million range
* Solid understanding of credit documentation, risk governance, and regulatory frameworks (BaFin, ECB)
* Native-level German and fluent English required; French is an advantage
* Strategic and commercially driven professional with strong leadership and cross-border collaboration skills
