Where Your Career is a Force for Good
The American Red Cross is currently seeking an ARC/WWP Partnership Outreach Coordinator. This position is located within the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC), sitting either on Ramstein Air Base or at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance. This position is not supported with a relocation allowance, Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), DODDs student placement, or sponsored housing. This position offers SOFA sponsorship, if eligible.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Under limited supervision, support program to ensure implementation and defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Provide planning, design, and implementation support to assigned program area. May assist with budget preparation and monitoring and in the recruitment of volunteers and contractors. Provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD
* Familiarity and commitment to the missions of the American Red Cross, Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Division and our Outreach partners the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).
* Develop, provide Outreach Program briefs, and maintain face-to-face professional relationships with Military Treatment Facility (MTF) leadership and staff, procuring buy-in to resiliency and engagement opportunities.
* Plan, coordinate, advertise, and execute impactful, routine, holiday and special events/activities targeting resiliency for professional care provider population.
* Recruit, train, and manage volunteers directly supporting Outreach programming.
* Submit After Action reporting for all Outreach Program sponsored care provider activities, to include impact statements.
* Reconcile and punctual submission of all appropriate Purchase-Card, Travel card, Out-of-Pocket expenses, and bank transfer documentation for accurate monthly budget accounting.
* Purchasing program supplies (to include perishable groceries) and managing the delivery and/or storage of those material items.
* Ensure distribution and tracking of Transitional Care Packages (TCP) to maximize outreach to Wounded Warriors, providing monthly reporting.
* Assist WWP with Alumni activities/events, Gear Desk operations, transportation, and organization of gear from Official Mail to storage.
* Flexibility to pivot to 'other' lanes within Service to the Armed Forces, to include local Disaster Response efforts.
* Normal work schedule will coincide with military duty hours (8-16:30), though events/activities may be scheduled before or after hours, on weekends, or holidays.
* Other relative duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or minimum of 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills & Abilities: May require the ability to obtain a government security clearance. May require fluency in second language. Ability to work on a team.
Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE (Preferred Qualifications):
• Self-starter, self-motivated, positive, outgoing, personable with exceptional interpersonal skills, a team player – though able to work alone, and able to empathize and communicate effectively with diverse populations (including military personnel).
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills, to include comfort with public speaking.
• Able to take initiative, multi-task, work well under pressure, and complete required assignments within scheduled deadlines.
• Strong computer user skills, including use of Internet and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications (WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT, etc.) required, and familiarity with Co-Pilot (AI) and One Drive (storage application).
• Experience with American Red Cross programs and services is helpful.
• Familiarity with military culture, regulations and protocol is helpful.
• Job seeker must meet security background check requirements for access to military installations and to apply for computer network credentials.
If selected:
* Candidate will be required to complete the Army's yearly Food Handler's certification within 90 days of employment start.
* Candidate will need to have reliable personal transportation for commuting.
* Candidate should have a valid USAREUR driver's license, with a clean record, to operate company passenger/cargo vans, or obtain one within 60 days of employment start.
