About your role:
* Preparation of the DESY contribution towards IceCube-Gen2, with a particular focus on hardware and radio technology
* Responsibilities for the laboratory tasks towards IceCube-Gen2 and contribution to the project management in preparation of Preliminary and Final Design Review
* Research in instrument development and detector optimization
* Contributions to RNO-G in its function as pathfinder experiment for IceCube-Gen2

About you:
* Ph.D. in astrophysics, astroparticle physics, high-energy physics or equivalent qualification in engineering
* Extensive experience in hardware for neutrino detectors, in particular radio detection of neutrinos
* Significant experience in hardware-related data-analysis and detector commissioning
* Excellent academic track-record as shown with relevant publications
* Excellent team-player abilities
* Good command of the German language or willingness to archive this on a short time-scale
