A well-funded European SaaS company is building the operating system for business operations—designed to replace fragmented tools, chaotic processes, and spreadsheet workarounds with something more scalable, flexible, and robust.
With recent funding secured and customer growth accelerating, they’re now looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team and help shape the next phase of their platform.
What you’ll be doing
* Designing and building backend systems that power the core product, using Python, Django, and DRF
* Working closely with product, design, and frontend teams to ship end-to-end features
* Managing and evolving the data layer—PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery—and improving overall system performance
* Taking ownership of backend reliability, scalability, and architectural decisions
* Contributing to internal process improvements, reviews, testing, and platform resilience
* Helping the team stay fast and focused while laying a solid foundation for scale
What they’re looking for
* 5+ years of experience building backend systems in production, with deep Django + Python expertise
* Proven ability to deliver in a scaling environment—ideally Series A to B—where product, infra, and team are growing at once
* Solid SQL knowledge and experience working with data-intensive systems
* Comfort with asynchronous task queues (Celery), caching layers (Redis), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
* Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across remote, cross-functional teams
* Exposure to frontend technologies (React/redux )
