We are expanding our Investment Banking and Corporate Finance activities. Based in Frankfurt, Paris and Zurich, we are growing and plan to increase our team of investment bankers over the next two to three years. This is an opportunity to be part of a growth-focused European investment banking team.
Job Description
As a Vice President (m/f/d) (Corporate Finance / Debt Advisory), you will be a key member of our Corporate Finance / Debt Advisory deal team, leading transaction execution and business development activities on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Executing a broad spectrum of corporate finance / debt advisory transactions (both corporate and private equity) from kick-off to completion, collaborating with junior team members, senior leadership, and clients
* Supporting the execution of a variety of debt transactions including loans, private placements and public bonds
* Contributing content to client advice books by conducting ad-hoc analysis
* Leading client meetings (marketing and execution) in close collaboration with senior leadership
* Driving new business efforts in close collaboration with both junior and senior team members
* Mentoring and training more junior team members (Associates, Analysts and interns) with structured training and ongoing coaching
* Supervising financial modeling and valuation analysis, including LBO, debt capacity, financial covenant, and credit rating modelling
* Overseeing and refining the preparation of marketing materials (e.g. teasers, info memos, management presentations) for debt advisory assignments
* Developing in-depth expertise in financing instruments and structures
Required qualifications
We seek candidates who demonstrate the following:
* Well-rounded academic background, ideally with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field from a top tier university
* Prior corporate finance / debt financing-related experience is required (6+ years)
* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
* Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
* Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and time-management skills
* Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervision
* Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization
