In this role you will:
1. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
2. Define and implement best practices, standards, and processes to sharpen the organization’s engineering skills and productivity.
3. Support the certification of large aircraft modifications to demonstrate compliance with relevant customer and regulatory requirements and procedures defined in the company’s Design Organization Handbook (DOH)
4. Work with our global engineering services team, across multiple time-zones, toidentify requirements and their associated solutions for active and upcoming projects
5. Lead certification activities to ensure compliance with design requirements, be the principal technical focal for certification and stress issues relating to large aircraft cabin interior and prim. structures modification programs
6. Compile and review structural substantiation documents related to product certification and integration into theaircraft. This includes connectivity and new monument and furniture Installations (Galleys, Lavatories, class dividers, first class suites and VIP furnishing)incl. unique seat types.
7. Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and up-coming projects. Provide additional on-site support to assistour customers during the embodiment phase of the project.

What you bring to the table:
Basic qualifications:
17. Bachelor’s Degree degree in engineering, within Stress/Structures/Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
18. 10+ years' experience in related commercial aircraft design and certification fields, preferably in an EASA Part 21, Subpart J Design Organization environment
Additionally preferred skills:
19. Experience: You candemonstrate extensive experience with EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, JAR-25 and FAR-25, have a current or recent appointment as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) with terms of approval relevant to the stress/structures discipline (Panel 3). You are ideallyan EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) with terms of approval relevant to the Cabin Safety discipline (Panel 11).
20. Knowledge: You are proficient in hand calculations, are an expert with classic stress analysis techniques as well as computational methods including Finite Element Analysis. This adds to your extensive knowledge and experience with aircraft interior modification programs
21. Collaboration: You are experienced in working effectively with colleagues and customers and are willing to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff
22. Tools: You can demonstrate Proficiency with our key engineering tools: Altair HyperWorks, PATRAN / NASTRAN
23. Personality: You are a principled, reliable professional who values integrity, safety, and accountability, always striving for the highest standards of quality and ethical conduct.
