Job Summary:
Our Field Service Engineers are an essential part of the EMEA Life Cycle Service Team and are central to our customers’ experience. Field Service Engineers play an active role throughout the relationship with prospective and existing customers, providing expertise and quality care in pre and post sales, and throughout the customer journey.
This role requires strong partnerships with customers and internal teams such as Sales and Customer Solutions to deliver consistent and commercially aligned value. As a technical expert, you will be develop meaningful relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing expert customer care, identify solutions for both immediate and longer term needs.
This is a field based role requiring frequent travel to customer sites and therefore you will need to be flexible to travel with short notice and overnight stays away from home in line with business requirements. You will need to be proactive and self sufficient, and have the ability to make decisions autonomously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support to customers across pre-sales and post-sales settings within the EMEA service function.
2. Carry out on-site field service activities, including product installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
3. Deliver IQ/OQ (Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification) service provision as required.
4. Support Life Cycle Services Team in delivering high-quality customer service.
5. Provide technical support for product demonstrations and pre-sales application discussions.
6. Conduct site audits to assess customer needs and service opportunities.
7. Deliver product-based customer training sessions.
8. Complete all required service documentation and adhere to internal processes and compliance standards.
9. Manage and process service cases using the company’s CRM system.
10. Contribute to the upkeep and operation of the Customer Experience Centre and Wet Lab.
11. Identify and record new business opportunities and sales leads arising from service activities in CRM.
12. Maintain and track boot stock inventory needed for on-site service tasks.
Skills/Experience:
13. HND/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical Technician or equivalent experience.
14. Hands-on experience in trouble shooting, repairs of electromechanical equipment.
15. Adept at mechanical engineering and basic electronics card-level repair
16. Full driving licence and ability to travel across Europe.
17. As we are a UK Headquarted business fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
18. Strong communicator and proven ability to handle challenging customer situations and able to build lasting customer relationships.
19. Experience of working with a CRM.
