Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Major Data Centre Project Location: Frankfurt, Germany About the Role Vallum Associates are looking for an Quantity Surveyor to join a major data centre project in Germany. In partnership with a leading General Contractor, with an expanding portfolio across Europe, you will play a pivotal role in delivering state-of-the-art data centre facilities. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage cost plans and budgets for large-scale data centre construction projects. Prepare tender documentation, including Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and evaluate bids. Administer contracts (NEC/JCT), manage variations, and ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations. Monitor project costs against budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective actions. Conduct risk assessments and implement cost-saving strategies. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure cost control and commercial success. Prepare and present monthly cost reports and forecasts. Support dispute resolution and claims management where necessary Qualifications & Experience Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a track record of working on complex MEP or data centre projects. Professional membership of RICS or equivalent is advantageous. Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar). In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and risk management. Strong understanding of data centre design and construction processes, including MEP systems and structural elements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus
