This position will support site readiness from a finance perspective and will transition to be responsible for ongoing manufacturing costing and production variance analysis and improvement
Educational Qualifications/ Experience Required
* Financial controller experienced in a multinational manufacturing company with a minimum of 5 years Post Qualification Experience. Experience from Life Science or other regulated industry is considered a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent required.
* Professional certification or training in international accounting standards (ideally US-GAAP) and familiarity with HGB is a plus

* English fluency is required; strong German skills are highly valued, or a clear willingness to learn German quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Finance Support to the business
* Acting as a Business Partner to facilitate continuous improvement efforts and overall efficiency ultimately resulting in standard costs and production variances. ·
* Lead annual standard costing process for local site including own produced goods as well as input materials. ·
* Lead month end and year end processes for production orders and stock valuation including order settlement, variance analysis and stock devaluation.
* Support site business plan and forecasting activities regarding expense planning and working on roadmaps to achieve plan/forecast. ·
* Understanding and reporting results, to drive financial insights to the key stakeholders. ·
* Support key processes with regards to financial control and auditing to ensure consistent financial data reporting, processes, and results. ·
* Setting up local finance processes aligned with local and global functions to ensure operational readiness of the site. ·
* Support transition phase from construction to operational activities.
Support/Influence site business needs
* Work closely with the business to ensure all financial standards are met.
* Building strong relationships with the business teams to provide effective support and combine financial performance with business activities.
* Participation in the facilitation of internal and external audits.
Support local & global finance policies, goals, and objectives
* Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Lilly’s Global Finance organization as well as counterparts at other Lilly sites.
* Ensure compliance with Lilly financial policies and procedures, and regulatory commitments.
* Develop AI-driven solutions for local financial processes and contribute to Lilly’s global AI programs

* The position is located onsite at Alzey, Germany.
* On-site attendance is required
* Periodic travel may be required to other sites (10%).
