PhD Researcher Position
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for characterizing modulators and performing functional analysis of Kv7 channels and/or proteases. This will involve working with transfection of heteromeric channel constructs; different electrophysiology techniques in oocytes and cells, stem cell derived 2D-cell cultures; high resolution microscopy; and 3D modeling protein of individual electrical active cells and cells in a tissue like conformation.
Responsibilities:
* Designing and conducting experiments to characterize the function of Kv7 channels and/or proteases
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop novel research projects and publish results in leading scientific journals
Requirements:
* Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or biology, or equivalent qualification
* Strong interest in working in a multidisciplinary team
* High motivation and ambition
* Excellent command of spoken and written English
* Very good Communication skills and team spirit
* German language skills are not a requirement but willingness to learn is desirable
