PURPOSE & SCOPE:
The candidate will take an active role as a student trainee on projects aimed at transforming access to internal knowledge within the organization. Key contributions will include the development and deployment of an AI-powered chatbot that streamlines information retrieval across departments. Responsibilities will involve driving the creation and curation of a comprehensive data pool to train the chatbot, ensuring it delivers accurate and relevant responses. Additionally, the candidate will lead the integration of the chatbot with existing systems and contribute to other knowledge management initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency. A strong focus on delivering high-quality, customer-centered solutions is essential, while adhering to Johnson Electric’s Environmental, Health & Safety, Quality, and Human Resources policies. Maintaining safe and efficient work practices is critical.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the design and execution of processes for gathering and organizing internal data to train the AI chatbot.
2. Take ownership in developing algorithms and models to enhance the chatbot’s accuracy and relevance in responding to user queries.
3. Create, structure, and manage a high-quality data pool from various internal knowledge sources to optimize training data.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate the chatbot into existing internal systems.
5. Continuously research and stay updated on advancements in AI, natural language processing, and knowledge management technologies.
6. Demonstrate initiative and accountability in all tasks while ensuring safe, efficient work practices.
7. Perform other related duties as necessary.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Education and/or Experience:
8. Currently enrolled in a technical program in engineering, computer science, or related fields
9. Proactive team player with an open-minded approach and curiosity about new technologies
10. Excellent communication skills
11. Hands-on mentality, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects independently
Qualifications:
12. Experience in programming, AI, or machine learning is advantageous
13. Strong verbal and written communication skills
14. Good interpersonal skills
15. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Language Skills:
16. Proficient in German and English (both spoken and written)
