Role Summary
Functional Expert with 5 -7 years of experience in banking/financial services domain. Strong understanding of regulatory and legal risk processes, and native level/ C2 German language proficiency to interact with German-speaking business stakeholders.
Focuses on business requirement gathering, functional design, and stakeholder alignment to support initiatives within Legal Risk and Regulatory Reporting in a large banking environment and working closely with IT teams for delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Functional & Business Responsibilities
* Act as a functional representative for Legal Risk and Regulatory Reporting initiatives.
* Engage with Business, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to
* Gather, analyze, and document regulatory and business requirements
* Interpret regulatory changes and assess functional impact
* Prepare clear and structured functional deliverables, including:
* Business and Functional Requirement Documents
* Functional designs, business rules, workflows, and reporting logic
* Ensure alignment with internal policies, controls, and regulatory expectations
* Support UAT activities, including requirement clarification, issue analysis, and business sign-off
* Act as a bridge between Business and IT, clarifying functional intent and resolving requirement-related queries
* Ensure timely communication and escalation of issues impacting regulatory commitments
Stakeholder Management & Communication
* Serve as a key point of contact between Business and Technology teams.
* Conduct requirement discussions, walkthroughs, and reviews in German and English.
* Prepare concise functional summaries, impact assessments, and status updates for stakeholders.
Skills
* German at native/C2 level
* Strong exposure to:
* Legal Risk
* Regulatory Reporting
* Risk, Compliance, or Finance functions
* Proven experience in business analysis and functional design roles within regulatory programs.
* Good understanding of banking systems, data flows, and reporting platforms
