We have an exciting opportunity for an Environment, Health and Safety Manager to join a leading international manufacturing organization. This role is based out of their plant close to Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.

This is a site-critical role responsible for leading Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, embedding a strong safety culture, and ensuring full regulatory compliance across a complex production environment.

Key responsibilities as Environment, Health and Safety Manager include:

• Lead and embed a strong OHSE culture on site, with a clear objective of achieving and sustaining zero injuries
• Drive Health, Safety, and Environmental performance in partnership with site leadership and operational teams
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate standards, and recognized frameworks (e.g. ISO, OHSAS)
• Monitor, analyze, and report OHSE KPIs, incidents, and corrective actions
• Lead audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Develop procedures (such as PPE policy), deliver training, and manage contractor OHSE compliance

The ideal candidate profile:

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Science, Operations, or equivalent industrial experience
• 5+ years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong hands-on knowledge of OHSE systems, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to influence, motivate, and engage employees at all levels
• Structured, proactive mindset with a strong focus on prevention and continuous improvement
• Fluent in German with good working knowledge of English
