New colleague wanted: Field Engineer
On a daily basis our Field Engineers work on the most complex emergency power installations in the datacentre industry. We make sure that the light stays on when the power goes out In connection with the expansion of our service team, we are looking for colleagues who know about combustion engines and electrical engineering.
As a Field Engineer you have a challenging position within KVT Germany GmbH with a lot of freedom. You perform installation, commissioning service, maintenance and repair work on diesel generators and emergency power installations throughout Germany. The initial focus will be in the Frankfurt am Main area but also may extend to the Berlin and other areas in Germany.
During your work you will encounter a wide variety of installations, both technically and in set-up locations. Whilst the primary focus will be data centres, this can also be hospitals, petrochemical plants, banks, tunnels / bridges and flood defences. Power is needed 24/7, so are we.
When starting at KVT you will first be trained in our head office in The Netherlands in our official Rehlko training centre and in the field on large scale datacentre projects. At the end of your onboarding period, the emergency response service is part of your position. You are our calling card.

What do we expect from you?
• Analytical thinking skills;
• An eye for quality, cleanliness and safety;
• Customer-oriented communication;
• In possession of valid SCC certification (Sicherheits Certifikat Contraktoren);
• DIN VDE 0100 / certificates (or willing to obtain them);
• Optional DIN VDE and DIN VDE high voltage certified);
• Willing to occasionally work outside office hours;
• Willing to occasionally work on distance from home;
• You master the German and English language in word and writing;
• Living in the area around Frankfurt am Main;
• Experienced in the field of installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnoses of internal combustion engines and generators (Notstromaggregate);
• You are in possession of valid driver's license (BE-Klassen: für Pkw-Führerscheinklassen und Pkw mit Anhänger).
Desired level of education
• Fachschule combustion engine technology or similar mechanical/electrical trained
• At least 2 years of experience with internal combustion engines/diesel generators
