At tozero, we are building Europe’s first industrial-scale battery recycling plants to regenerate critical raw materials like lithium and graphite. We’ve proven our tech in the lab, scaled it in our pilot, and are now constructing our first-of-a-kind (FOAK) commercial demonstration plant. To finance this ambitious journey, we are looking for a Project Finance Manager.
You will structure and drive the financing of FOAK and future plants, working at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, and capital. Structure project financing for large-scale industrial plants (equity, debt, grants, non-dilutive funding).
Build and maintain detailed project finance models, including capex, opex, cash flows, and sensitivities.
Lead financial due diligence and support negotiations with banks, infrastructure investors, and grant agencies.
Collaborate with technical and operations teams to align project economics with financing strategy.
Track performance of ongoing projects against financing assumptions and covenants.
Work hand-in-hand with our Grant Manager to secure large-scale funding packages that combine equity, debt, and grants.
Collaborate closely with our tech, operations, and leadership teams to align project economics with real-world engineering.
Lead project financing for our FOAK plant in Germany, while preparing expansion projects in the USA and Asia.
High visibility with banks, infrastructure investors, and strategic partners worldwide.
Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
~4–6 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, or structured finance (renewables, energy, industrial projects).
~ Strong modeling skills (Excel/financial modeling) with deep knowledge of project finance structures.
~ Experience with grant financing and public funding a strong plus.
~ Fluent in English, German is a plus.
Be at the forefront of financing Europe’s clean industrial revolution.
International, ambitious, and mission-driven team.
