About the Position
This is a temporary role with the possibility of extension for 1 year, allowing you to develop and implement organisational strategies, structures, and processes across all departments in Ukraine.
* Develop and implement strategic plans that align with national objectives
* Support the Country Director in translating national strategies into operational plans
* Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
* Lead the digitalization of departments and workflows
* Coordinate across departments and field offices
* Fulfill the role of the Country Director when delegated or in their absence
* Ensure compliance with donor requirements, national legislation, and internal standards
* Represent the organization in coordination forums and with external stakeholders
* Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts
About You
We are looking for a highly qualified, motivated and passionate professional who wants to play a part in supporting people in need with your expertise, ambition and Christian conviction. You have 7+ years of experience in humanitarian/development work, including 3 years in leadership, and are fluent in German, English, and Ukrainian/Russian.
* University degree in a relevant field
* 7+ years of experience in humanitarian/development work, including 3 years in leadership
* Proven skills in organisational development and compliance
* Strong leadership and team-building abilities
* Fluent in German, English, and Ukrainian/Russian
* Knowledge of donor regulations (e.g. UHF, ECHO, GFFO, BMZ)
Desirable qualifications include experience in conflict settings (e.g. Ukraine), familiarity with humanitarian standards (CHS, Sphere, IASC) and technical know-how in Health, MHPSS, Protection, CASH and/or WASH.
