Description We are looking for a Functional Academy Manager (m/f/d) to join our CFO/ COO Academy team with a strong focus on procurement. In this role, you will shape and deliver learning offerings that strengthen capabilities in procurement and across the broader CFO/ COO functions, supporting performance across Hapag-Lloyd’s finance and operations functions. You will take hands-on ownership of the end-to-end learning portfolio: from needs analysis and stakeholder alignment to programme design, delivery formats, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with Hapag-Lloyd’s learning architecture and capability development priorities. Responsibilities Design, develop and manage learning offerings that build functional capabilities within the CFO/ COO Academy stream, aligned with Hapag-Lloyd’s learning architecture and capability development, (e.g., for Procurement) Shape structured and specialized learning pathways for different target groups - from new hires to experienced experts and managers - ensuring relevance, scalability, and practical applicability Steer local & global projects, collaborating closely with our customers, stakeholders and Academy teams in Hamburg and Chennai; facilitate workshops & trainings and provide clear, regular project status updates Oversee and manage skill assessment in relevant departments under CFO/ COO Academy (e.g., Procurement) Contribute to shaping the CFO/ COO Academy portfolio, working with peers and stakeholders to ensure coherence, strategic alignment, and effective adoption in day-to-day work Develop and maintain an ongoing KPI dashboard for monitoring training progress Qualifications University degree (e.g., Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, Adult Education, Communications) or equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience Solid professional experience in Learning & Development, People Development or in a Business Partnering role, with project management exposure (ideally in an international/ matrix organization). Functional knowledge in finance, procurement or operations-related fields is a plus. Demonstrated ability to proactively drive initiatives Solid foundational knowledge in project management/ experience with basic project management methods – setting clear priorities and plans, aligning stakeholders, and driving execution through disciplined tracking of actions, milestones, and deadlines to ensure reliable delivery Experience in conceptual work, developing decision materials and concepts (e.g., one‑pagers, training/ enablement concepts, rollout plans, communication and implementation approaches) – strong PowerPoint and storytelling skills are a plus Reporting and analytical skills: building and maintaining status updates, KPI/ dashboard logic and management readouts; confident user of Excel and common collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams); LMS experience is a plus High degree of ownership and self‑motivation, structured and reliable working style, strong service and stakeholder orientation; fluent English spoken and written
