Head of Account Management (DACH) – Logistics/Packaging
Location: Wuppertal (hybrid, 3 days work from home)
Travel: Regular DACH travel required
Package: €90,000 - €100,000 per year + company car + bonus
Pod Talent is proud to be partnering with a leading European logistics business. As the business continues its commercial transformation and strengthens its presence across the DACH region, we are now looking for a Head of Account Management to lead the regional commercial function and drive organic portfolio growth.
This is a pivotal senior role within the commercial leadership structure. With an established customer base across FMCG and retail, and an ambitious European growth underway, the business is investing in a stronger, more data-driven and customer‑centric commercial organisation. You will play a central part in shaping this process.
Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across Europe to ensure alignment on strategy, pricing, processes and customer experience. This is an opportunity to influence the growth trajectory of a key region, develop a high-performing team, and embed a culture of customer-centricity across the commercial function.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead, develop and expand the DACH Commercial Accounts team (currently 4 direct reports, with future growth planned).
* Own the full commercial accounts and sales cycle across the region, ensuring seamless execution and strong customer experience.
* Build and manage commercial pipelines, forecasting, reporting, KPIs and conversion analysis.
* Implement a standardised, efficient sales and account management process aligned with European commercial strategy.
* Drive senior-level customer engagement, negotiations, retention and long‑term partnership development.
What we are looking for:
* 5+ years’ experience leading commercial teams within supply chain, FMCG, logistics.
* Proven track record in delivering sustained portfolio growth and managing complex commercial processes.
* Strong expertise in account management, sales pipeline management, forecasting and commercial reporting.
* Excellent negotiation and senior stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to coach, motivate and develop teams through change.
* Fluent in English and German.
