What we look for
We are looking for motivated professionals to join one of the world\'s best crisis teams as an Associate Director or Director (all genders) Crisis Communication in Düsseldorf joining our European team.
Responsibilities
* You act as the primary or secondary contact for clients, advising them on comprehensive communication strategies and all aspects of external and internal communications.
* You craft compelling narratives for complex crisis situations, assist clients when they need our help most, and prepare their management boards and heads of communications, helping them regain control of the situation.
* You work closely with international teams and other practice groups to develop high-quality solutions, leveraging shared knowledge, networks, and experience.
* You bring fresh, inspiring ideas and innovative communication formats, with a deep understanding of complex situations when media and public pressure increase.
* You actively network within the media field, engage with key contacts, and support the team in new business activities and pitches, focusing on new types of crises such as cyber-attacks or misinformation campaigns.
* You are a skilled project manager and mentor for junior colleagues across offices, contributing to the growth of the Düsseldorf crisis team.
Qualifications
* You have at least five years of relevant professional experience in business journalism, corporate communications, consulting, and/or crisis management.
* You possess strong analytical skills, strategic and tactical judgment, commitment, a consulting mindset, and professional demeanor.
* You have excellent German and business-fluent English, preferably with experience living abroad.
* You have an entrepreneurial mindset, proactive attitude, and strong organizational skills.
* You are a team player, highly committed, and professional, with excellent people and project management skills and the ability to network effectively.
* You are passionate about communications and have the courage to challenge existing approaches with a capacity to innovate.
