What You’ll Do & Who You Are
We are seeking a professional individual to join our team as the new Head of Product (d/f/m) – Core Experience. As the name Core Experience already implies, this product area summarizes the core of the Kleinanzeigen user experience: signing up as a new user; creating an account; offering goods and services on Kleinanzeigen; and searching and discovery. As Head of Product for the Core Experience you are fully in charge of driving the vibrancy of the Kleinanzeigen product forward, developing our future vision and strategy, and helping the platform grow with customer centricity and stakeholder management.
The Role
* Lead and scale the cross‑functional team of over 50 people covering user experience, product management, software development, analytics and go‑to‑market (marketing, SEO), together with the technology development counterpart.
* Manage the Core Experience product team within this cross‑functional setup, set OKRs and project milestones, prioritize initiatives, focus on building the right product for users while balancing pragmatism and quality; mentor and coach direct reports.
* Stakeholder management: ensure clarity, consensus and alignment around Core Experience priorities and achievements within Kleinanzeigen and Adevinta, while keeping outside noise down to maintain team focus.
* Drive engagement in the Product Community at Kleinanzeigen and Adevinta and help it thrive together with other Product Leads.
Qualifications
* Multiple years of experience in leading a team, change management and working cross‑functionally.
* Experience in stakeholder management, consensus‑building and decision making with excellent communication skills.
* Experience in digital product management (discovery and delivery) in an agile environment (SCRUM/KANBAN) and scaling product teams.
* Experience in strategy development and communication with different target audiences; consulting experience is a plus.
* Fast apprehension, excellent logical, analytical and strategic skills; structured and self‑driven.
* Result‑oriented: set clear goals and metrics, shape strategies and align teams on the right path to success.
* Pragmatic, positive attitude, bias for action; ready to roll up sleeves and build a great product and successful business.
* Inspire others, good at what you do; curious and eager to learn more.
* Fluent in English; conversational German.
