Expert Data Engineer - GenAI & ERP Transformation (m/f/n)
Department: Energy Business IT| Location: Esch-sur-Alzette| Contract: Permanent | Job Requisitions N°19722
Join our AI Solutions department and put Generative AI to work on a multi-year ERP replacement.
Your mission is resolutely hands-on: build proof-of-concepts that set the technical direction of the new platform and extract hard-to-find knowledge from the current ERP landscape. You will code, test, document, refine and hand over clean deliverables the project team can carry forward.
Your tasks
* You develop GenAI PoCs for key ERP streams and build knowledge-mining chatbots, process-mining visualisations, data-migration copilots, test-case generators and similar accelerators with Azure OpenAI, pgvector and Python
* You reverse-engineer the existing ERP; parse tables, logs and legacy specs to generate clear, current technical documentation and searchable knowledge bases
* You make use of AI support in the implementation of the traditional commercial use cases as forecasting, offer generation, billing and dunning analysis
* You analyse and decide with your peers the best linkage of GenAi with ERP processes
* You align PoCs with the project plan and work closely with functional and integration experts to ensure every prototype answers a real need and can evolve toward production
* You deliver technical GenAI training on demand (prompt engineering, RAG patterns, secure LLM usage) for developers and power users
* You package code for a smooth hand-off by applying GitLab CI/CD, containerise on Kubernetes, and document guardrails and data-privacy measures so your accelerators are ready for the next release wave
Your profile
* You hold a university degree in computer science/engineering, mathematics, economics or you have an equivalent working experience of minimum 5 years in engineering on ERP or other large enterprise systems with hands-on experience in data migration, process automation or custom extensions
* You are familiar with creating or running GenAI/LLM solutions in production (RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, vector search)
* You have strong Pyhton & SQL skills and are able to ship robust services and REST APIs
* Production experience with Azure OpenAI and PostgreSQL + pgvector
* You are comfortable with GitLab CI/CD workflows and containerised deployments on Kubernetes
* You demonstrate strong expertise in analysing system logs, tables and code to produce precise, usable documentation
* You are resilient over long projects, and you can collaborate smoothly with business, functional and technical stakeholders
* Excellent interpersonal skills and an excellent communicator
* You are security-minded and documentation-oriented; every AI capability you deliver is auditable and explainable
* Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in English. A good knowledge of Luxembourgish, German or French will be considered as an advantage
What we offer

* The opportunity to join a Group that actively shapes the energy transition in Luxembourg and the Greater Region
