Job Title: Site Planner / Construction Planning and Control Specialist Location: Wilster, Germany Job Description Technical Project Management requires specific technical knowledge to plan, organise, and control resources, procedures, and timing for a technical process or project, including: Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports Conducting risk analysis and monitoring progress against project milestones and budgets Providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team Ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables Analyzing and documenting requirements by liaising with a range of users in the organization Where applicable, managing the integration of vendor tasks and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of the job area, typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Works independently with general supervision Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices Your Responsibilities Work as part of a construction team on a project such as SuedLink or other large energy projects in Germany (energy transition) Take on the role of site planner within a turnkey project and interact with subcontractors on-site Analyse site requirements and construction progress, and verify that all key work activities have been identified in sufficient detail Analyse and validate subcontractor schedules and review interfaces for plausibility and timeliness Monitor changes and identify risks for construction delays Create 3-week look-ahead plans for weekly site meetings. Identify critical and missing activities, with a particular focus on interfaces between construction trades Use pull planning Work with the team to define the baseline and current schedules, resourced/integrated with the required resources, to further compile actual and forecast data for the project Monitor construction project progress and regularly analyze the subcontractor critical path to ensure that all critical path activities and milestones are on track. Notify the construction manager and project team of any deviations and scheduling issues Prepare regular progress reports for the construction site (progress S-curves, scheduling, OTDs) Work with project team colleagues to continuously improve our business processes Support the project team in risk analysis Your Background Successfully completed degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering – Bachelor’s/Master’s/Dipl.). Focus on project management is an advantage In-depth knowledge of the planning, monitoring, and control of turnkey projects (construction, assembly, and commissioning activities) Experience in dealing with subcontractors for construction and installation Experience in planning and scheduling package projects, particularly construction and assembly activities. Experience in construction management and building services engineering is an advantage Thorough understanding of the logical sequence and linking of project execution activities in turnkey projects Experience in planning activities and monitoring execution plans and physical progress Good knowledge of MS Office and Primavera P6 PMI-SP certification/further training is an advantage Excellent communication skills, a strong customer focus, a structured approach to work, and the ability to work in a team Fluent in written and spoken English and German
