About your role
Support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the bank’s AML/CFT framework (in particular, AML Act, § 25h KWG)Act as deputy to the MLRO and represent the function internally and externally when requiredMonitor compliance with applicable AML/CFT laws, regulations, and supervisory requirementsReview and assess suspicious activity reports (SARs) and support decision-making on regulatory filingsOversee customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring processesAdvise business units on AML/CFT-related matters, including high-risk customers, products, and transactionsSupport the assessment and mitigation of money laundering and terrorist financing risksContribute to AML risk assessments, policies, procedures, and internal controlsCoordinate with Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and relevant control functionsSupport regulatory audits, inspections, and interactions with supervisory authoritiesContribute to AML/CFT training and awareness programs across the bankInvolvement in the new product processSubmit suspicious activity reports to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as well as filing criminal chargesPoint of contact and coordinator for internal and external auditors regarding their audit areas related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and criminal activitiesRegular and situation-related reporting, particularly to the responsible member of the management board and if applicable to the statutory supervisory body of the management.About you
You are a suitable candidate for the role if you have/are:
Several years of professional experience in AML/CFT, Compliance, or Financial Crime within a banking or financial services environmentSound knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and supervisory expectationsExperience in setting up monitoring systemsExperience in reviewing suspicious transactions and SARs is an advantageStrong analytical skills and a high level of integrity and discretionStructured, independent, and risk-aware working styleFluent in German and good English skillsFeel rewarded
