In this role within 2nd and 3rd level support, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance and security of business-critical mail systems in an enterprise environment. You will act as a technical expert in analyzing complex malfunctions and continuously optimize system stability.

Your tasks
8. Administration & Operation: Support of Linux server environments (Debian) as well as maintenance of email and spam filter systems (including backup & restore processes).
9. Incident & Problem Management: Conducting in-depth log analyses at the SMTP level and handling technical escalations at the 2nd and 3rd level.
10. Security & Optimization: Continuous improvement of security mechanisms against spam and phishing campaigns.
11. Automation: Optimizing IT processes using Puppet and Ansible .
12. Knowledge management: Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for internal knowledge transfer.
Your profile
13. Experience: You have approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in Linux administration.
14. Linux expertise: Sound knowledge of Debian Linux, Bash scripting and a secure handling of Git are absolutely essential.
15. Email infrastructure: In-depth understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP) and standards. Expert knowledge in Postfix administration and troubleshooting.
16. Spam protection: Practical experience with Amavis, SpamAssassin and Perl Regular Expressions ( PCRE ).
17. Infrastructure & Tools: Confident handling of SQL (complex queries), Ansible, Puppet, vSphere (VMWare) and backup technologies (e.g., Bareos).
18. Methodology: Sovereign application of the OSI model for fault analysis.
19. Security: Ideally, you have a valid security clearance (SÜ2) or are willing to undergo one.
20. Soft skills: Independent working style, sense of responsibility and willingness to work in a shift system.
