We place them at the heart of what we do, providing challenging opportunities to develop within a great team in a supportive environment that fosters growth.Responsibilities of the role:Manage all Mercury’s commissioning responsibilities on site, including setup, management, and closing out of the commissioning plan.Manage direct reports (commissioning and testing personnel on site).Manage the Commissioning Tagging process and procedures.Report progress on all commissioning activities internally and externally.Chair weekly commissioning meetings and direct weekly commissioning activities.Lead daily whiteboard meetings on commissioning.Host weekly commissioning meetings with the General Contractor and clients, reporting weekly progress.Monitor and update daily analysis reports and monthly schedules.Prepare progress & delay analysis reports.Manage project scope, construction progress, resources, critical path, and milestones.Produce weekly look-ahead schedules.Create baseline schedules for Engineering, Construction, Testing & Commissioning.Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.Attend and coordinate weekly meetings with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.Develop the Project commissioning schedule in collaboration with project planners.Manage Mercury’s “Lock Out – Tag Out” procedures.Manage Area Control Permits for all areas under Mercury’s control.Compile all Testing and Commissioning documentation, verifying and signing off results.Manage Project Commissioning Schedule alongside other trades, Package Leads, Engineers, and Client requirements.Track all testing and commissioning staff on-site, issuing labor allocation sheets daily.Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and staffing levels, with weekly meetings.Attend Factory Witness Testing (FWT) as required.Manage relationships with Main Capital Plant Vendors.Assist in managing costs related to your package, including teams, subcontractors, materials, plant, variations, and valuations.Oversee daily commissioning operations and snagging, ensuring timely closure of issues.Participate in Site Meetings, Internal and External Project Reviews, Engineering and Planning meetings, and Handover meetings.Ensure all project items are closed out, with support from Electrical and Mechanical package managers.Implement weekly look-aheads for coordination with vendors and trades.Issue weekly internal progress reports highlighting completion percentages, concerns, and risks such as late deliveries.Maintain a weekly photographic diary of the project.Develop professional relationships with clients, representatives, and vendors.Perform all other duties related to this role.Your Qualifications and Key Criteria:Must be able to travel freely across the EU, as this role requires travel.Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) with at least 5 years’ experience as a commissioning manager on large industrial projects, or equivalent experience.Extensive commissioning knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems in Data Centres.Thorough understanding of European building regulations, standards, and practices.Proven experience in full IST development and management, including digital documentation.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and budgets.Strong communication skills at all levels, capable of reporting to management and clients.Ability to produce detailed reports, presentations, and assignments to a high standard.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Adobe Acrobat.Ability to manage client and contractor relationships, ensuring adherence to specifications and timely commissioning.Effective delegation skills and knowing when and who to delegate tasks to.Strong team-working and social skills, with leadership qualities to motivate the team.Ambition to succeed and develop professionally.Mercury is an equal opportunities employer.Mercury Electrical TeamMercury Mechanical Team #J-18808-Ljbffr
