Overview
Being based in the North of Germany and reporting to the Associate Medical Director Neuroscience, the Medical Science Liaison for Neuroscience is responsible for the implementation of the local affiliates’ Medical Plan and tactics that support the successful commercialization of in-market and future Jazz Pharmaceutical Neurology products. This is a field-based, non-promotional role and the incumbent is the field-based medical and scientific expert for the therapy area.
The northern territory includes Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Niedersachsen.
Key Responsibilities
* Provision of Medical Information: provide high-quality, balanced and scientific medical information to internal and external customers on request and in a timely manner.
* Deliver best-in-class scientific educational meetings in accordance with Jazz and local regulatory and legal frameworks.
* Provide scientific information to support appropriate positioning within national and local protocols, guidelines, and formularies to support appropriate access.
* Communicate emerging data and clinical experience with our products through scientific exchange and peer-to-peer interactions, discussing benefits and risks objectively.
* Position self as Scientific Expert: maintain up-to-date knowledge of the therapy area and Jazz products; support development of Jazz positioning as the scientific authority on neuroscience; attend scientific congresses to stay abreast of developments and support external experts activities; provide medical governance for neuroscience therapeutic areas; understand local and national clinical practice protocols; give medical-scientific presentations; provide medical training to Jazz personnel.
* Evidence Generation & Research Support: support local implementation of Jazz-sponsored studies and projects; respond to requests for Investigator Initiated Research grants; support submission and review of Investigator Initiated Research proposals; ensure support of life cycle management of all neuroscience products.
* Develop External Relationships: build influential relationships with national and local external experts to foster two-way scientific exchange; support national external experts advocacy through provision of scientific and clinical information; maintain a national and regional database of key strategic contacts for each product and disease area.
* Strategic collaboration & Key Account Planning: contribute to the country medical plan and local strategies; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a Key Account Management approach; provide scientific support to Key Account Management for tailored customer strategies; monitor and analyze scientific and clinical trends within key accounts; participate in cross-functional account meetings; ensure compliance with regulations in all medical-scientific interactions.
* Maintains High Company Standards: adhere to national and local Codes of Practice; act ethically and with integrity; serve as an ambassador for Jazz Pharmaceuticals; create and implement a personal development plan; provide timely reporting as required.
Qualifications, Skills, And Abilities
* Prior experience in neurological conditions (preferred epilepsy or rare disease).
* Highly self-motivated with ability to work autonomously.

* Clear, concise communication and presentation skills; ability to critically analyse complex data.
* Strong planning and organization skills; excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities; collaboration and teamwork.
Education & Requirements
* Scientific Graduate in life sciences (Masters / Diploma or higher).
* Valid driver’s license.
* Travel 70%–80%.
* Very good command of German and English (spoken and written).
