Your Tasks:
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Synapse Developer to join our business intelligence team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale data solutions using Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern data warehousing, big data processing, and analytics platforms.
1. Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Synapse
2. Optimize query performance and troubleshoot complex data processing issues
3. Collaborate with data architects to design efficient data models and storage strategies
4. Work closely with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solution
Your Profile:
Required Technical Skills
Azure Synapse Analytics
5. Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines using Synapse
6. Knowledge of data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes
7. Knowledge of various data formats including JSON, Parquet
SQL Expertise
8. Advanced T-SQL programming skills for complex query optimization and performance tuning
9. Proficiency in writing stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
API Integration
10. Proficiency in consuming and designing REST APIs for data integration
11. Experience with authentication methods (OAuth, API keys, service principals)
Data Engineering Fundamentals
12. Strong understanding of data modeling concepts for both OLTP and OLAP systems
13. Familiarity with DevOps practices for data platforms, including CI/CD pipelines
