Job Description Islanding detection refers to methods used to identify when a portion of the electrical grid becomes disconnected from the main grid and is powered solely by local generators. During your thesis you will identify and analyze state of the art islanding detection methods in terms of strength and weakness. For identification you will carry out literature research and gather company internal know-how. Furthermore, simulations in Matlab Simulink may assist the analysis. As outcome of the thesis, you will suggest a preferred islanding detection method suitable for vehicle to grid applications. Qualifications Education: Master studies in the field of Electrical Engineering or comparable Experience and Knowledge: in electronics, electrical circuits Personality and Working Practice: you excel at working independently, approaching new ideas with an open mind, and engaging sociably with others Languages: fluent in German and/or English Additional Information Start: September 2025 Duration: 6 months Requirement for this thesis is the enrollment at university.
