ONTRAS operates 7,700 kilometers of long-distance pipeline network in eastern Germany. We transport natural gas and green gases to our customers, the downstream network operators such as municipal utilities and industrial clients. Over 500 employees contribute their expertise at our Leipzig headquarters and 12 other locations. Together, we are actively driving the energy transition and will be converting our infrastructure into a hydrogen network in the coming years.

Your program schedule:
Your chance to help shape the energy world of tomorrow!
Are you motivated, curious, and eager to learn about the various facets of data management? Then our 24-month trainee program is just right for you!
* Ten months: Start in your home region, where you will learn the basics and specific tasks of documentation and data management.
* Three times three months: You rotate through three more areas:
o
+ IT management, where you will learn about topics such as information security, data architecture and IT projects.
+ Technical safety and process management, where you gain insights into professional process management.
+ Hydrogen program (H₂ program), in which you will delve deep into reporting and experience the high data requirements of this innovative field.
* Two months: Choose an area of your choice and deepen your knowledge in a specific subject area that particularly interests you.
* Two months: At the end, you return to your home region to contribute your acquired knowledge and experience.
Your tasks:
* Support with:
o the professional analysis of data requirements
o the maintenance of the professional lineage of data via glossary terms and information in the data catalog
o Development of solutions for data requirements
o Development of training materials for building data literacy within the company
* Contributing to the further development of data governance
You bring the following:
* A completed degree in a data- or IT-related subject such as business informatics, computer science, data science or data analytics, business administration degree programs with an analysis focus, or mathematics/statistics.
* Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and modeling.
* Prior practical experience through internships or working student positions is advantageous.
* A high willingness to learn and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics.
* Empathy, strong communication skills, and an independent work style.
