Selux GmbH, a leading manufacturer of outdoor lighting solutions based in Berlin, is seeking an experienced Head of Lighting Design and Applications. In this role, you will lead the lighting design team at Selux Headquarters and develop innovative lighting concepts for projects worldwide, such as Bebelplatz in Berlin or the 9/11 Memorial in New York.

* Technical and managerial leadership of the lighting design team, as well as strategic development of the department.
* Preparation of customized lighting calculations, concepts, and visualizations in compliance with relevant standards.
* Coordination with sales, external planners, and end customers; project support; and preparation of technical documentation.
* Support ("voice of customer") in product development projects (technical and storytelling), as well as in development and maintenance of solution configurators.
* Representation of the company at conferences, conventions and in collaborations with universities.
* Conduct internal trainings regarding lighting applications in order to elevate skill level of the staff (e.g. Sales Teams).
* Trend scouting and further development of thought leadership in the field of outdoor lighting, e.g., Dark Sky-compliant solutions.
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, lighting technology, architectureachi or a comparable field, ideally with a Master's in Lighting Design.
* Several years of leadership experience in lighting design—entry-level management experience is sufficient—with proficiency in software such as DIALux, Relux, CAD, or REVIT.
* In-depth knowledge of lighting standards, sustainability and project management as well as strong communication skills.
* Fluency in English, business-level proficiency in German and ideally knowledge of French; willingness to travel and a team-oriented mindset.
